Terms & Conditions


Our Pledge to you
 

  1. We agree to carry out all work in a professional manner using the most appropriate materials and workmanship.

  2. We will communicate with you at all stages and be available to answer any queries you might have.

    iii. In the unlikely event of any dispute we undertake to resolve such matters directly with you before the need to involve any third party.


Methods of pricing

 

  1. Quotations are in writing and cover only the work & materials detailed in the quotation & are valid for 7 days, after that we reserve the right to amend if necessary to allow for price variances. Any extras requested additional to the quotation will be charged for at our normal materials & labour rates.

  2. Estimates are given as a guide only as to the likely cost of the job and are charged out at our normal rate for materials and labour.

    iii. All other work is based on materials and labour.

 

  1. Unless otherwise stated all prices are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax.
     

Terms of Payment
 

  1. A 50% deposit is required for all work. The job will commence only once this deposit has been received. All remaining balances are due in full 7 days following completion of the work and issuance of the final invoice.

  2. Any cancellations for work must be made in writing by sending a cancellation request to info@oddjobz.co.nz

  3. If a job is cancelled before 48 hours of the booked date the deposit will be refunded back to the client less the cost of any unreturnable products and materials. Examples of unreturnable products are special order items, paint that has been colour match (Tinted), items that are perishable short term and custom fabrications.

  4. If a job is cancelled by the client within 48 hours of the booked date, the client agrees the deposit in its entirety will be forfeited to Oddjobz Handyman Services as a cancellation fee.

     iii. No offset can be made in respect of the tendered invoice.
 

  1. If the account is unpaid by due date, you agree to pay interest at a rate of 2% per calendar month until principal and interest has been paid in full.

  2. In the event that it becomes necessary to pass the debt to a collection agent for recovery action, you acknowledge and agree that all collection costs, enforcement fees and solicitors costs incurred will be your responsibility. You also agree that this information may be passed to a third party for credit reporting purposes.
     

    vii. All goods and materials remain the property of Oddjobz Handyman Services until paid for in full and we reserve the right to register our financial interest on the Personal Property                        Securities Register until final settlement.
